Temple of Garni, Geghard Monastery, Symphony of Stones
The Temple of Garni is the only preserved pagan temple in the territory of Armenia and the entire Caucasus. With its beautiful surrounding mountains, Azat river gorge, Symphony of Stones it is one of the most visited places in Armenia.
Geghard Monastery is one of the most beautiful buildings in the early Christian era . Geghard consists of very impressive buildings built in a cave, and a domed church . Geghard meaning "the Monastery of the Spear", originates from the spear which had wounded Jesus at the Crucifixion, allegedly brought to Armenia by Apostle Jude, called here Thaddeus, and stored amongst many other relics. Now it is displayed in the Echmiadzin treasury.
