DAY 1
Arrival, transfer from airport, evening walking tour in Yerevan, visiting the singing fountains at Republic Square.
Yerevan is one of the oldest cities in the world. This year the city will celebrate its 2800th anniversary. Yerevan is especially distinguished by its warmth that attracts many people. It is very difficult to discover Yerevan within a day or two, so we suggest you join our city-tour, that besides standard sightseeing includes also important museums, and just interesting places
DAY 2
Tour to Garni Temple and Geghard Monastery, master class of Lavash, the traditional Armenian bread
The pagan temple of Garni is unique, as it is a the only preserved temple from pre-Christian era, the history of which has passed since 2000. This is a consequence of the Greek-Roman cultural influence in Armenia. Geghard monastery is one of the most beautiful and most important monasteries in Armenia. It literally means spear, as for a long time here was located the spear that has been hurt Christ.
DAY 3
Tour to Echmiadzin , Mother Cathedral , Gayane Church, Zvartnots
Echmiatsin is considered to be the spiritual center of Armenia. Here is the country's main cathedral, The Mother charch of Armenian Apostolic Church built in the 4th century, along with the adoption and dissemination of Christianity.
DAY 4
Matenadaran, Erebuni fortress, Megeryan carpet - antique Armenian carpets and rugs factory
Performance of Duduk Music - traditional Armenian music instrument
An undividable part of the Yerevan city-tour is visiting museums. For example, the Matenadaran is a cave of Armenian manuscripts where books dating back to millennium are located.
In the center of Yerevan, on the Republic Square two of the country's most important museums are located , the History Museum and the National Gallery of Armenia.
DAY 5
Tour to Sevan, Sevanavank monastery, Dilijan (Haghartsin monastery , Goshavank monastery)
Lake Sevan is one of the most famous places in Armenia. The famous Sevanavank is located on the Sevan peninsula. Yet few people know that about 70 years ago the water level was so high that it was a beautiful island off the coast of Lake Sevan.
Dilijan is considered to be one of the most greenest zones in Armenia. Beautiful and ancient monasteries, Goshavank and Haghartsin, are located a little far from the city.
DAY 6
Tour to Tatev monastery, ropeway Tatever, Areni wine factory, Noravank monastery, Khor Virap monastery
Khor Virap is crucial place in Armenia connected with Christianity adoption and dissemination . Gregory the Illuminator was imprisoned here, where he spent 13 years, afterwards making the king to believe him. The Armenian king thus became the principal person for spreading Christianity. Noravank and Tatev monasteries are beautiful cultural monuments in the southern part of the country. In the evening, we will finish our tour from Tatev Monastery and return to Yerevan.
